Jeff Janssen, Friend and Extraordinary Welder Print   Minimize

Jeff, his wife and his children have been friends of ours for years.  Deborah and Barb met in high school and have been the best of friends ever since.  Jeff works in welding and during his free time he often welds whimsical creations, spice racks, outdoor items like smokers and fire pits, and much more.

When we needed a curved handrail for our stairwell, Jeff came to our rescue, first making a template out of flexible plumbing pipe, and taking it to the shop to recreate with steel tubing.  He handcrafted the L-brackets to support the rail.  The result is a smooth, uninterrupted, easy-to-grip handrail that follows the curve of the stairs perfectly.

Someday we’ll have to talk him into working his magic on our front gate.
